On Firefox for Android, the default form validation messages are not showing e.g. "Please fill in this field" or "match the requested format". Validation itself works so the form won't submit, but no messages shown.

Yes, it's a known bug. Form validation doesn't work yet.

How come? I mean isn't that a basic function of a web browser? Android has been around for a very long time so has Firefox. I just don't get it...
