Selecting several people to send emails to
Fairly new user. When I try to send an email to several people (not a group) I hold control and then click on the various names and the either put it in bcc etc. This works sometimes and other times I have to click a name and put it manually into bcc for each name I select. I would prefer to select a number of names and when finished just click bcc the one time. What am I doing wrong. Thanks Bill

- click 'write' button - in compose window, press F9 and a contact list will appear on left. tick the desired recipients and then click To or CC or BCC as desired.
I am trying to forward an email not compose one. This did not work for that but thank you. Bill
Please be explicit on what didn't work. My steps work exactly the same for forwarding mail.
About 50% of the time, When I go to forward an email to several people, I click on the first address (name) and go to the next name that I want to send the email to it will drop the first name and then I have to high lite and go to bcc for every additional name . When it works, I high lite the first name and go to the next name and press shift and click on the next name it lets me carry on down my name list and when I'm finished, I click bcc and all is OK .
Follow my suggestion and put tick marks first on names of recipients. Then tick the To or CC or BCC box.
This works when I am composing a new email but I want to forward an email and the name list doesn't come up when I press F9
Puzzling, as it's the same compose window. Do you see the menu bar in compose window? You should be able to click 'View' and see the option to show the contact list there or by pressing F9.
I'm not composing, I'm forwarding emails
I understand. Please note that the same window that opens for composing a message is the same window that opens to forward a message. And, in many cases, you may be composing a sentence or two in explaining the message being forwarded.
When I forward an email, it is a joke or a video and I don't usually add anything to it. I just had the problem 10 minutes ago. I thought that maybe I wasn't doing some special thing but I guess I am just used to Windows Live Mail where I never had this problem.
