THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED!!
To go back to Firefox 3.6.3
For Mac: http://www.mozilla.com/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.6.3&os=osx&lang=en-US

Patrick, for the print crashing in Linux that affects all your Mozilla software, I heard that may happen if you updated from CUPS 1.3.11 to CUPS 1.4.4.
The only fix in that case was to downgrade CUPS back to 1.3.11.

thanks Noah,
going back to 3.6.4 fixed the problem. the Firefox folks must have been listening. 3.6.6 came out and that fixes the problem too.
thanks,
-patrick
I'm using Slackware-Current with firefox-3.6.6, gnome-vfs-2.24.3, cups-1.4.4 installed. Some people on linuxquestions.org suggesting to use cups-1.4.3 (downgrade from 1.4.4 to 1.4.3) as a printing backend or removing gnome-vfs packages if it is not used by the system.
