it seems IMPOSSIBLE to hide/erase the websites I have visited, and they always are there sillk when I start to write www. to enter a new address - VERY embarrasing!
i have used 'clear recent history', clicked 'everything', 'always clear my private data when I close Firefox' etc. My version is Mozilla Firefox 3.6.17 Thankyou for your help (preferably written in not-too-technical language!)
