The Show All Bookmarks window and the side Bookmark window are empty even though my booksmarks are still accessible from the menu Firebox> Bookmarks. I followed the instructions for the Damaged Places database and this resolved my issue.

I had this problem too (Show all bookmarks and the Bookmarks side panel empty though all bookmarks visible under the B. menu), solved it as suggested by making backup, deleting places.sqlite, and restoring. Thanks!
