It's not a keyboard problem, my keyboard works fine in other programs; it only happens when I try to type on Firefox. Also, I've had this problem through various versions. What should I do? I really like Firefox, but this can get pretty irritating, and it's pretty much forcing me to switch to another browser

I wonder whether they are being intercepted as "hot keys" by an add-on, or whether they have a special meaning to a particular web site. Is there any pattern to it?

You could test for an add-on conflict by using Firefox's Safe Mode.

First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Backing up your information. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

Next, restart Firefox using Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled. In the Safe Mode dialog, be careful not to "reset" anything permanently if you didn't back up.

Any luck?

Thanks! I can't try this out right now, since this glitch happens randomly. However, I'll be sure to try it out when it does happen.
