Updated to Firefox 12.0 this morning. Thereafter, right-clicking on a gif image in a web page and selecting "Copy Image" from the drop-down menu results in no image copied but instead image location is copied. That is, both "Copy Image" and "Copy Image Location" from the menu results in copying image location.

To be more specific, I am trying to copy a gif image and paste same into a word processor. The result in the word processor is the image location, not the image. I have always used the same procedure for many earlier versions of Firefox with good results. Plus, the same image that I want to copy can be copied using the Opera browser, so that I know there is nothing wrong with with the source image.

I think that this is a bug in Firefox 12.0. What should I do?

Hello roofrabbit,

it seems like this is a bug brought with Firefox 12.0. I would recommend you trying to reinstall Firefox to see if it can bring up some new commits and maybe try to drag the images and drop them in the word-processing software for some time until they fix the bug. I think you will have to wait a little bit for this to get fixed unfortunately. It shouldn't be long though so you might have to endure for a few more days.

Thank you for your patience.
