I have a new Macbook Pro with the latest version of Lion, Firefox Beta (14), and two or three times over the past 3 weeks since I got my new computer Firefox has crashed randomly.

The Apple crash reporter appears, but the Firefox one does not. about:crashes is completely empty and it's like Firefox doesn't even know it crashed.

What can I do to debug what happened and prevent it?

To get the crash reporter look in Firefox ->Preferences->Advanced->General-> [v] Submit crash reports.

Also not all crashes prompt the crash reporter.

Do the crashes also occur with the Firefox 13.0.1 release version?

Does the Apple crash reports give any clues about where the crashes occur?

I'll give Firefox 13.0.1 a try, however it might be awhile before I get another crash. Thanks

I used Firefox 13.0.1 for a week and I didn't have a single crash, but the 14.0.1 was released yesterday. I updated and it took until today for me to have a repeat of this crash. The full browser goes down while in the middle of surfing, and the only crash reporter is the Apple one.

about:crashes is still empty :/

I couldn't find any clues in the Apple crash report about what the problem might be.

By the way, it's not a plugin because I have them all disabled.

Any other thoughts or suggestions?
