I saved a backup image of my whole system to an external hard drive, prior to major changes/upgrades. (Now on Windows 7, was XP.) I want to recover my bookmarks: I presume that as I added something to the list in June that there should be a places.sqlite file with a June date. But I can't see anything later than 2010.

Hi,

If the folder structure is intact in the backup image, please see Firefox Profile Folder regarding the possible location. If there are more folders other than the *.default you could also check inside them. You can also try to load the file dated 2010 to check the contents. You may also want to check the backup software documentation regarding the timestamps and other internals.
