Linux spell check dictionary
On my Linux (Ubuntu) laptop when I right-click in a text-box and check the [Languages] the list shows 4.
On my Windoz desktop when I right-click in a text-box and check the [Languages] the list shows only 1 (English U.S.).
How do I get Linux Firefox *Spell-check* [Languages] to show ONLY English U.S.?
NOTE: [Languages] under Firefox Options shows only English U.S.

I wonder whether you can manage the dictionaries from the Extensions tab. Could you check here:
Tools menu > Add-ons > Extensions
No, not in Linux Firefox. [Extensions] have nothing about spell-check languages for the Firefox inbuilt spell checker.
What I am looking for is the folder containing the Firefox spell check settings. Maybe there will be something we can change.
PS: I did a search from root, for "/Firefox/dictionaries" (this is Linux phrasing) but got no hits.
Not sure whether this is relevant, but on Windows 7 64-bit, that folder is here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\dictionaries
If you were using the en-US build of Firefox from Mozilla.or you should only have the one dictionary. I do not use Ubuntu to know if it is due to using the third-party build of Firefox 19 from Ubuntu or dictionary packages provided for their build.

You can check the dictionaries folder in the Firefox installation folder to see if you can find the dictionary files there.
