hello, please try to restart your computer and run the flash installer afterwards before you open firefox or any other browsers.
please also note that you're running a seriously outdated version of firefox which is affected by numerous known security vulnerabilities. to keep your system and all the personal data on it safe, Update Firefox to the latest release as soon as possible!

Sometimes Firefox will "hang" when it is shutting down. In that case, the firefox.exe program remains in memory. To check for that, you can use the Windows task manager. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to display the task manager.
On the Applications tab, any open Windows of Firefox will be designated with the program icon, so they are pretty easy to spot. Any remaining windows here might be hidden or offscreen. You can forcibly close them using the End Task button on one of them.
On the Processes tab, you may find firefox.exe. Here is where you can End Process if Firefox hangs during shutdown.
There is a support article on hang issues, but I think the first step would be to verify that you are running a current version of Firefox. Your posts lists Firefox 11, which is quite out-of-date and insecure now. Can you update?
