I use firefox 22 for download csv from a flash-based website. When i click the export button it always prompt me a 'select download folder' dialogue. If i download the file continuously, it will use recently used folder. but after i close the firefox then download again, it's always start in 'recently used places' directory list. any suggestion about this?

hello, make sure that you haven't set up firefox to clear the history (& website preferences in particular) when you close firefox and that no external clean-up or tuning tool is interfering...

i checked the 'clear history when firefox closes' options, and it was unchecked. But still no luck. I'm afraid it's caused by the flash-based website that force firefox to select download folder location. Is it possible?

it's always show the list of folder in "Recently Used" places. By the way i use Ubuntu 12.04. Firefox version 22.

unfortunately i don't know enough about how flash-based downloads are handled - on normal sites firefox will save the last used download folder on a per-domain basis. can you check if this is still working as intended after a restart with other non-flash based sites...?
