Firefox won't open links from Skype?
Windows 8.1 Pro (x64), Skype is the latest version for desktop 6.10.0.104, Firefox is the latest version (of writing this question) - 25 Stable. When I click on link in Skype nothing happens! Firefox is set as default browser for all the supported file types. If I change the default browser to IE 11 and click on Skype link, the link opens in IE without a problem. Setting back defaults for Firefox doesn't help. I tried reinstalling both Firefox and Skype without success. Any ideas? It's very unpractical to copy every link and paste it.

Hello, Can you please confirm that the problem you are facing is different from the one reported earlier - Firefox not opening links from Skype.
Or is the issue that there is no activity when you click on a link from Skype. Do other links (say in Outlook / Word) open Firefox when you click them? We want to narrow this down to see if this is a Skype specific issue.
Thank you
It's not the same problem. Links worked one day, the other day they were not. I cannot get them working again, tried the other thread all the methods there don't solve my problem. I don't know if it's the same problem but no matter if firefox is running or not, i cannot open a link from skype.
I have a similar problem - Firefox won't open a link from a Thunderbird email. Worked OK under Windows 8 but stopped after upgrade to 8.1. In addition If I double-click on HTM or HTML file in Windows Explorer nothing happens. Rt-click & "open with Firefox" gets no results, but opens in IE with "open with". I've confirmed that all defaults are set to Firefox and have not changed anything else since before the upgrade
It's not the same problem! I CAN open .htm .html files and so on, no problem, I can open links from notepad++ for example. I cannot open links ONLY from Skype.
Forgot to mention it worked first when upgrading from 8 to 8.1! It stopped working few weeks later!
