Can I use Mailwasher Pro BEFORE e-mails are sent to TB from my ISP?

more options

I have been using Mailwasher Pro for 10 years or more, and love it. It is a service which allows me to "view" and delete/accept e-mails BEFORE they are sent from my frontiernet.net account (ISP) to my computer. Wondering if I can set up TB to only receive e-mails from my ISP after I've "washed" them using Mailwasher. Thanks for any correspondence.

Normally Thunderbird will check mail on a schedule (e.g., every few minutes). You can set Thunderbird to only retrieve mail manually, or you can keep Thunderbird closed until you want it to check mail.

To modify the schedule, you can go into Account Settings using either:

  • application menu > Options > Account Settings
  • tap the Alt key > Tools menu > Account Settings

The click into the Server Settings category to adjust the time interval of deselect automatic checking.
