For the past two days the BT email home screen https://signin1.bt.com/login/emailloginform ha appeared as blank. This previously worked fine. The screen works correctly in Internet Explorer 11 so does not seem to be specific to the website.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling Firefox, and have run Sophos virus checker; also have BT Netprotect running which is modified McAfee, so in theory have no viruses.

The login screen is supposed to go to an email screen https://uk-mg-bt.mail.yahoo.com/neo/launch?.partner=bt-1&.rand=[presumably a key]

pterre,

I can't reproduce this because, well, I don't have access to that page. Have you tried clearing your cookies for that site?

  • Go to Firefox > Options > Privacy > Remove individual cookies
  • Clear only bt.com cookies

Also, you may want to delete your cache.

  • Press the CTRL key + SHIFT key + DEL key
  • select time frame for "everything" and unselect everything except cache and click Clear.

Restart Firefox and try again.

I saw a response to a similar question which asked the user to start FF in safe mode and disable hardware acceleration. Tried this, with no success.

This has apparently gone away after deleting Firefox, then removing the folders C:\Program Files\Mozilla, C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla and C:\Program Data\Mozilla, rebooting and reinstalling Firefox. I did not get as far as trying your suggestion, but thanks anyway.

Not sure if this was a coincidence, but it was not cleared by just deleting and reinstalling FF.

Puzzled as to what caused the problem since to the best of my knowledge I have not altered any settings in the last couple of days, but I know BT are always messing about with their site.
