Sign in to your Mozilla account on Firefox for Android to sync your bookmarks, logins and/or history across devices.

If you do not have an existing Mozilla account, you will need to create one. For additional information, see Access Mozilla services with a Mozilla account.

Sign in to your Mozilla account

Option 1: Pair your Firefox with Firefox desktop

To sync your bookmarks and/or history with Firefox Sync using an existing Mozilla account and QR code:

  1. Tap the menu button android menu icon
    Menu button - Template:menupreview
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Sync and save your data.
  4. Visit accounts.firefox.com/pair on your desktop.
  5. Tap the Ready to Scan button on the Sign in with your camera page within the app.
  6. Point your device's camera toward the QR code on your desktop.

Option 2: Sign in with credentials

To sync your bookmarks and/or history with Firefox Sync by simply signing in to your existing Mozilla account:

  1. Tap the menu button android menu icon

  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Sync and save your data.
  4. Tap the Use email instead button on the Sign in with your camera page within the app.
  5. Enter your Mozilla account credentials.

Choose what to sync

  1. Tap the menu button android menu icon
    Menu button - Template:menupreview
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap your email address.
  4. Select the check boxes next to the types of information you want to sync:
    • Bookmarks
    • Credit cardsPayments methods
    • History
    • LoginsPasswords
    • Open tabs
Firefox Sync is not an online backup tool but is designed to enable you to sync browsing data between two or more Firefox installations.
