why can i not print a .pdf file when i open it in Firefox ?

I regularly back up my profiles folder (desktop running Windows 10) and observe a steadily-increasing number of files. Where/what are they? If cookies, I really don't want to delete all cookies, but neither am I interested in manually going through the list and deleting individual ones. I realize we're not talking about a major storage space issue (~ half a gigabyte) -- just curious.

after downloading latest Firefox, suddenly seeing a looooooooong list of commands which were not there earlier.(see on the right). all these additions are not described in the changes summary! further, the command "Take screenshot" does not work. the earlier extension for screenshots which i had is also not to be seen. so added moravi screenshot but unable to take any screenshot, full or part.
