loaded as instructed - but - STILL comes up 'for yahoo'

have now tried to get firefox via firefox and chrome - still gets yahoo

Check your Windows Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs for anything related to Yahoo and for anything that you don't recognize (sometimes "things like that" are named differently that what you might expect). Then remove it or "them".

Also check the Firefox Addons Manager. {Ctrl + Shft + A}

have done all suggested corrections - still cannot get Firefox as a stand-alone.

open to any ideas
