You can click a bookmark that doesn't have a favicon to make Firefox retrieve the favicon is there is a suitable one available.

Thanks for your reply-unfortunately it didn't work for three of the items: MBNA credit card register home page Admiral home insurance register home page and Unity glasses Can't understand this as they all had favicons on my Google bookmarks. Any thoughts?
