How can I TOTALLY eliminate tabs on Firefox. I want function similar to IE8.

I want to eliminate the 3/4" wasted space at the top of my screen devoted to worthless TABS. I NEVER use tabs and wish to get them out of my way. I am using the current version of Firefox. I cannot find where the version number is shown. Firefox is somehow only for geeks and has left common users in the dust. Kinda like Linux OSs.

Hi, there are a couple of add-ons you could try -

Hide Tabbar.

Hide TabBar With One Tab.
