Every day I have several messages that Mozilla marks as spam and that I have marked as spam/junk. How can these junk emails be stopped from reaching my inbox and creating clutter? In every case when Mozilla thinks these emails are junk it has been correct.

You have two options Either under account settings / junk settings move it to a junk-folder which you can empty automatically every day. Gives you a chance to save a wrongly labeled junk-post

You can setup in options/ advanced /junk what you would do for all accounts. (that haven't got individual settings.
