Firefox crashes
My Firefox is crashing, wont stay open is safe mode for more than maybe 3-5 seconds. And wont restore session with disabled add-ons or plugins. I feel ( and Im not very knowledgeable about computers) But I noticed an a install yesterday just before the crashing started. I see the newest version is what I have with the 43.01 and attributing that update to these recent crashes. I saw the Sys Req. said it would work on Windows XP SP 2 yet I have Windows XP SP 3. Wondering if there is some conflict there. I also cannot sumbit report or copy report details. finding it hard to find information to give you about the reported crash, anything I can to do help please let me know, I work from my computer everyday and this is not a good situation for me. And yes I do know my computer is out of date and needs upgrading. I was just able to come up with this information on lastest crash ... crash.main.2 1450625074 68e08daa-1813-4f6e-aef7-952ed0d31e32 We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
- On the keyboard, press [Windows] The image "Windows key" does not exist. + [R]. This should bring up a Run window that contains a text field.
- In that text field, type %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
- From that explorer window, double-click on the Mozilla folder, then double-click on Firefox and then on Crash reports. Double-click on submitted.
- Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to View > Arrange Icons by > Modified to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
- Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
- Paste each ID with bp- into the reply window on the forums.
Thanks in advance!
You can find more information and troubleshooting steps in the Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) article.
OK there is quite a bit of information, and Im unsure what exactly is needed, so I'll try ;) There is no Bp- #'s they couldnt be submitted. If you can tell me out of this one what I need for other 5 I can look them up

ok, so I updated to new Nividia driver, and Foxfire is now working but my contrast is off and my text is so small and somewhat blurry ..
survivorwinner - I think I have a similar problem - which driver did you update and how?
Seems from what I've seen to be Nvidia drivers, go to Nvidia and find your graphic card and look for updated drivers for it. Worked for me and one other I know of. My Graphics card was GEForce 9500GT
Hmmm... when I first saw your post I took a guess that you had updated the graphics driver and so updated mine (I am running a GEForce 9600GT!). However, while the new driver set and suite installed successfully (Graphics Driver 340.52), it unfortunately did not cure the problem :(
I have since found out that I have another Nvidia presence in my machine - a network controller. Under device manager it calls itself NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller (driver version 60.1.5.0 dated 16/05/06). I have not touched this for fear of breaking my computer!
There is an application suite / thing under add remove programs which calls itself NVIDIA ForceWare Network Support Manager and have tried (and failed) to uninstall this.
Would you mind having a look in similar locations on your machine to see driver versions etc for the two things above. Really upset that firefox seems to be not really a usable option anymore!
Thanks in advance.
I did not see that on my list, but I did go in after and uninstall my old driver that I replaced. here is screen shot of what I have listed
