How does Firefox have a working RSS reader with bolded search terms for Google Alerts? (Chrome doesn't)

Google Alerts Firefox works. but Chrome = This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

e.g.

Google Alert - site:http://www.reddit.com/r/ tasker

https://www.google.com/alerts/feeds/10670767727672490097/3070082058214728662

This works in Firefox, but in Chrome, I get:

>This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

What does Firefox have that allows that page to load? Is it a built-in RSS reader?

As the oracle said to Neo, "But you already know what I'm going to tell you."

Yes, Firefox has a built in script (FeedProcessor.js) to style some feed formats.

More info on the oddly named "Live Bookmarks" feature: Live Bookmarks - Subscribe to a web page for news and updates.

The link you posted above works for me to show the "Subscribe to this feed using" dialog at the top of the page as it should because the file is send with the correct content-type for a feed (application/xhtml+xml).
