Firefox version 46.O will not save history and I cannot find out why

My privacy settings are set to remember history, but it is not working. I just updated to version 46.0 and had problems with wordpress login and was told to clear my cache. I did this and when I restarted my computer and firefox, it will not save history at all.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.
