Can anyone help me recover my old bookmarks from firefox mozilla?
Hi, I deleted my bookmarks from Firefox mozilla by mistake, Just clearing my history. I tried going to "all bookmarks" & restore, nothing is there accept june 29 2016 that's it. I need my bookmarks for June 29, 2016 & before that. Also, my time machine for Mac latest backup is june 12, 2016, so I'm in a messed up situation. Can anyone help me recover my old bookmarks from firefox mozilla? If there's other options.
Thanks Barry

Hi,
Thanks for the quick response. I followed how to get my profile & in that file I am still getting June 29, 2016 backup only. I am looking for June 29 & before that Bookmarks & passwords, etc. Look here at the picture. How do I get the old Bookmarks from June 29 & back??
Thanks, Barry
Hi GstarBarry,
It looks like Firefox has backup copies for a month backwards. That's weird, but in your case there is nothing more than for two days. Haven't you changed something in your profile last time?
Hi Artem,
All I did was clear my history as usually & all of a sudden my bookmarks are gone this time. I'm going crazy trying to figure out what to do. It has to be a way for me to recover my bookmarks, nothing never gets deleted completely from your computer. I need someone to help please.
Thanks, Barry
Well, the only way I see in this case is to obtain some older backup from another device. That could work when you use Firefox Sync service. Anyway, it's weird for me how it could happened. Looks like a bug...

Were there any other changes that might indicate that Firefox created a new profile, such as reverting settings to their defaults or removing add-ons?
Could you check for the following:
(1) On your desktop: a folder named Old Firefox Data
If you intentionally or accidentally triggered the Refresh feature, Firefox would have copied your old data into this folder. See anything like that?
(2) Extra profiles in your Library
To check this, start by opening your current profile folder. Either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the first table on the page, click the "Show in Finder" button. This should launch a new window listing various files and folders.
Make a note of the name of your current profile in the address bar, then click up a level into the Profiles folder. Are there any other folders here?
Let us know what you find.
Hi Jscher,
I don't see anything called Old Firefox Data, I have a macbook. Is it possible if you can call my phone? So you can give me steps on where to go. I've tried the "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information, But when I go to bookmarks I am getting this here in the picture. I can't find my old bookmarks.
Is it possible if someone can call me? So the process can be faster.
Thanks, Barry
Hi Barry, in your second and third screenshots, that looks like your current profile folder. Using whatever method is used on Mac/Finder (I'm a Windows user), navigate UP one level to the Profiles folder to see if there is a parallel profile to your current one.
Hi Jscher,
I just decided to restore my backup with time machine from june 12. This thing is a headache, but thanks for your time.
Thanks, Barry
