Please rework undo edits. Already twice "undo" discard edits of last perhaps 15min. Not recoverable, very regretfully. Thanks.

Thunderbird 45.2.0 / Win 7. Actions: 1. Reply to email. 2. Type in text, do some edits, do some formatting. 3. at times use other programs for find better wording, 3. After some while click "undo" / Ctrl-z, expecting to revert just last character or last word or sentence. 4. Multiple sentences are gone ... work of last 10-15 minutes... non-recoverable. Redo not working.

I run into this situation more than once over last few years. Please either fix all undo / redo functionality or disable undo for a time.

If this occurs with Thunderbird started in safe mode[1], then please file a bug report [2].
