There is an email that refuses to get marked as junk. I've tried every way to mark it but it still isn't marked. There is no problem for most other emails although there are some that thunderbird hasn't learned to automatically mark although I've marked them each time I get them.

Help appreciated.

Has this ever happened before? If this is not an ongoing problem, then just deleting that e-mail will be easier than trying to understand what's going on.

Is it a big e-mail? I ask this because I am interested in viewing the source. If it is small/not long, then: 1. Open the e-mail. 2. Click the "More" button and "View Source" (see snip below). Or just press Ctrl-U. 3. In the window that opens up, select and copy all the text. 4. Paste that text into a reply here. 5. Edit that text to put XXXXXXX in place of your e-mail address, for your privacy.

I just noticed that there is a padlock symbol next to the date in the header window. Would that cause this? Also, it was an imap yahoo account. I switched it to pop (as recommended by yahoo) and was able to mark it as junk under the pop server. I then deleted the imap account.

Thanks for your help.

What happened when you marked it? Nothing at all, or did it go away and come back again shortly thereafter?

The disappearance of the issue with the change to POP suggests to me that the server at Yahoo was part of the problem. For myself, switching to POP would be too drastic a solution.
