How can I make search terms blink or otherwise draw attention to them?
When I search for a term in a page with Ctrl-F, the search term gets highlighted by "reversing" (e. g. white characters on green background). When I search for the next occurence with Ctrl-G, the scrollbar jumps to the next position, marked in the same reversing way.
On visually complex and "active" pages, with small fonts, finding those occurences with my eyes is difficult as there is little perceivable change. Is there a way to make the found occurences stand out more, for example by making them blink, pointing an arrow at them, etc.?

You will need an add-on for this.
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/findbar-tweak/ FindBar Tweak Anything between simple tweaks such as placing the findbar in the top corner, to the powerful "Find in All Tabs" tool, FindBar will make your find toolbar "just right"!
The Find bar has a button to "Highlight All" which applies a pink background (at least on my system it's pink). That might help. Note that if you leave the Find bar open when loading a new page into the tab, you might need to unclick and then click the button again to apply it to the new page.
