When I send an e-mail a window pops up asking for my password, never asked this before now. Then tells me there is an error. Message says and I quote; Sending of password for user l-cypert@sbcglobal.net did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: Server error. Please try again later, Unquote. I am having problems sending e-mails at thunderbird. I changed my password with att.net/Yahoo. Their techs said I would have to give a new password to Thunderbird also. I need help with this.

Thank you, Lois J. Cypert

Give your password to who? Thunderbird is software on your computer. If your told Thunderbird to remember your password go to... Options-Security-Passwords-Saved Passwords Click Show Passwords Right click the password you want to change and select Edit.

And do not give your password to anyone.

Did AT&T/Yahoo mention anything about requiring an Application Specific Password when using a 3rd party email client?
