Sometimes webpage content is repeating while scrolling up and down (like background-repeat) and some webpage content from inactive tab іs superposed (overlayed) with active tab content when you switch between tabs. After that firefox stops answering (white foreground) in most cases and I must close firefox. When session is restored these problems disappear. Hardware acceleration is off, firefox and extensions are up to date, no viruses found. OS - Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I have only these extensions active: Autocopy 2, AutocopySelection2Clipboard, Autofill. Autofill Forms, AutoFormer, Firebug, I'm not robot captcha clicker, Self-destructing cookies, Simple Form Fill and Tile tabs (mostly off). Videocard drivers were updated this year.

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> General -> Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
