retrieve password
I have accidently deleted my account. I would like to reinstate it but I am not sute of the password. Can you help?

If you told Thunderbird to remember your account password, you can look it up in your Options.
At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button 
, then select Options > Security > Passwords > Saved Passwords > Show Passwords.
If not, check with your email provider about password reset options.

Password to what?
Thunderbird Master Password?
OS Level Keyring Password?
Email Specific Password?
I am trying to reset my account. It asks for the password created originally to access emails etc
Access in gmail or Tbird? if tbird that is likely a master password, in the latter case, backup the present profile and create a new one and reset that way.
Problem is Thunderbird. I need a password to reset my account.
