FF 57.0 will not load Google Maps. "Gah. Your tab just crashed." is what appears on screen.

Upon opening Google Maps (https://www.google.com/maps) I get "Gah. Your tab just crashed." This started when I installed version 57.0.

hi BruceJones, thanks for reporting this. our developers are aware of this problem and investigating a fix for this in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1413269 in case you want to follow along. i guess disabling hardware acceleration may be a workaround for this in the meantime: Firefox's performance settings
