Just switched to Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird mid November. I have been trying to import my "contact list" from Windows Live Mail (Outlook 2007) into my new Thunderbird "address list". I only get the names and not the email addresses. I have very carefully followed all instructions in the "Switching to Thunderbird" -- Importing Windows Mail Contact". Still not working. What am I doing wrong.

You may have better luck if you export your Outlook contacts to vCards (vcf files) and then import them to TB with the help of an add-on.
