Bookmarks not displaying in toolbar but are in library. Why? Better to use Chrome?

I've installed Quantum and imported bookmarks from Chrome. They are in bookmarks library. I wish to show individual bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar as I do in Chrome but seem unable to do so in Quantum. In fact when I try to add bookmark to the toolbar it just seems to disppear or replace an existing bookmark. I've never had such a problem before and regret I'll have to give up on Quantum unless I resolve this matter.

You may or may not find something useful here:

There is Sync in the 3 Bar Menu at the very top.

Syncing them may be the solution to it.

Nothing I can find on this. Someone may know here.
