How can I get png format right clicking a photo? web site all n/g
I right click on a photo i want to save from a site. instead of .png, which i want, or .jpg, which I can use, it only allows me to save a firefox webpage file which is not even a useful option.

If right-click over an image shows "Save Page As ..." and not View Image or other Image related options, there's probably transparent overlay covering the image.
Some websites use that to stop viewers from easily 'swiping' their content.
works fine with chrome. I'd much rather be with mozilla than google but i save a lot of pix.
What is the site so others can test the save option?
It would be useful to have a volunteer test the page. Firefox's right-click won't pierce through a transparent overlay (e.g., previous/next panels on https://www.jeffersonscher.com/photos.../advsetb/), but neither will Chrome, so that may not be the issue.
If all else fails, use the Media panel of the Page Info dialog. You might also check the Permissions panel of the Page Info dialog.
While viewing the desired image, you can call that up using any of these:
- right-click a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info > Media
- (menu bar) Tools menu > Page Info > Media
- click the padlock or "i" icon to the left of the site address, then the ">" icon, then More Information > Media
Click in the list box and arrow down until the preview window shows the image you want. Then click the Save As button.
twitter for one. It is not the page because chrome doesn't do it. It also has autofill, which is great. I used firefox before and this did not happen.
right click, save image as, and then the bottom line says web page complete I think it is, which creates files with round icons and lots of junk in them.

twitter for one.
So I right-clicked an image on Twitter, got Save Image As, and it preserved the original format (JPEG). Screenshot attached. I tested using https://twitter.com/RichardBarrow/ -- is there a particular Twitter feed where you see the problem?
