When I click the star icon, it bounces to the clipboard icon, the dialog box "Page Bookmarked"comes up and I press done. If I input that url again, the star icon is a solid colour and if I click the star icon again, I get the "Edit Bookmark" dialog box. Firefox thus seems to be recording my bookmarks. However, inputting a bookmarked url does not cause autocomplete and requesting a listing of bookmarks shows an empty list, so I don't seem able to call up bookmarks.

ASUS K55A i7 laptop Windows 10.

Hi,

It looks like you're using Firefox 47. That's a pretty old version and is no longer supported. If you can, it would be a good idea to update to the latest version (you might want to back up your computer first). For example, I know we have better facilities for checking the database in the latest versions, but I have no idea if we had them in 47 or not.

If you go to Bookmarks -> Show All Bookmarks, there should be a new window open, are the bookmarks listed under any of the folders in that window?
