The laptop I was using for Thunderbird was stolen one week ago. Is there a way I can retrieve the mail file? Thanks

Were you using POP or IMAP? POP saves email on your local drive. If you did not make a backup then the email went with your laptop. IMAP is server based. The email should still be on the providers server unless the person with your laptop deleted them.
