In Preference when I select Open Messages in an existing window, it opens them in a new message window just as if that option was selected.
This changed automatically two updates ago after working fine for many years. To be clear, I just want to have the message open in the existing window and not open in new window. As it is now, a second window opens, and if I click Reply, yet a THIRD window opens. Thanks!

The setting works correctly here in TB 60.5.1 on Windows, but there have been some issues with opening messages on OS X that may have appeared beginning with v. 60.3.

Are you opening messages from the keyboard or mouse, or does it not make any difference?
I'm on a Mac desktop running OS 10.12.6, and I have the same problem whether using the keyboard or the mouse. Thanks!
The last version that seems to not have the problem is 60.2.1, which you can get here:

If you find it works properly with that version, but not with later ones, I recommend you add your experience to the bug report.
