where previously i would tye something in the url area like "weather 12345" would be act just like a google search, over the past week, upon hitting enter, the amazon site is opened with my url content is passed to it. i don't have any need to buy angthing at this point in my life. please tell me how to eliminate this wast of my time.

Hi

I might be able to help.

If you open the Firefox for Android Settings menu and select Search, you should see the option to set the default search provider.

Alternatively, you may have installed an add-on that has changed your search preferance. Select Add-ons from the option menu where you can disable or uninstall any add-ons that may have done this.
