Devtools browser console keeps popping up, how to turn it off?
Every time I use my barcode scanner, the browser console error window pops up. My scanner still scans and works perfectly, I just can't get the window to stop popping up.
Things I have tried so far (restarting the browser between each)... - Disabling all add-ons and extensions - Going into about:config and setting every devtools.browser.console options to false - Unchecking the instant evaluation setting in the Browser Console configuration settings - Reinstalling Firefox (the latest version, of course)
Any further suggestions would be appreciated. I spend all day using my barcode scanner and this is wildly frustrating.

How does the scanner work: do you use it while you are working in a page in Firefox, or is it a separate application that somehow trigger Firefox to open the Browser Console externally?
Within Firefox, the menu path for the Browser Console is
Alt t w b
and the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+j. Conceivably, one of those might be getting triggered, but it's pretty obscure.
In the old days, an empty javascript:
URL might call up the window, but I thought that didn't work any more.
From outside Firefox, is there a reason the scanner might want to use a browser for something?

Thank you for your reply. I do use the scanner in my Firefox browser, in a web-based application. The browser console is only triggered when the scanner is used.
Although you said it's obscure, I am now tempted to see if there's anything in my scanner settings pertinent to a keyboard shortcut.
