Hi,

I am looking for a solution that I can use to get all my mails. I have an ubuntu server. For example it could be used to download continuously all my mails from different email service providers (gmail, t-online, outlook, and I have thousands of old emails...). Then it would be ideal to access the same profile from all my devices and reach the same downloaded emails and the possibility to search among them regardless which device I use. On top of that I could easily backup my mails on that server...

Any idea how can I solve this issue? Can TB help somehow?

Thanks for your ideas, suggestions in advance!

Thanks, Imre

Szia!

A Thunderbird nem igazán megfelelő erre a célra, hacsak nem használsz X11 továbbítást (ssh -X) a szerveren (ami nem igazán ajánlatos). Ha ilyesmit akarsz csinálni, akkor inkább egy webmail klienst javasolnék (például a Roundcube-ot), amit aztán bárhonnan elérsz webböngészőből.

Üdv, Balázs

In English, just in case: Hi!

Thunderbird is not really fit for this use case, unless you use X11 forwading (ssh -X) on the server (it is not recommended). If you would like to achieve a similar setup, I'd suggest a webmail client (e.g. Roundcube), which you can access from everywhere from a browser.

Regards, Balázs
