When I type something random in the search bar without http or https

more options

When I type something random in the search bar without http or https the Google search result loads just fine, and I can go to the next page on Google and everything.

But when I use the http or https protocol nothing loads or I get "the connection has timed out".

All other browsers I have installed work just fine.

Before the error happened I changed Firefox proxy settings. Right now the setting is "no proxy".

I made a very interesting observation. Somehow I got lucky and managed to go to https://www.google.com just once. If I copy and paste the link the site loads again just fine. However, if I change the url to another website like https://www.bing.com/ then the site doesn't load and eventually I get the error "connection has timed out".

Any ideas?

and I appreciate it

Looks like the only website that works is google.com

Is your Firefox connecting through a network that restricts web access, for example, through a proxy server? Do you use a VPN?
