Bookmarks gone. Backup is empty.
Firefox did some update and bookmarks disappeared. So I tried to restore the backup and it is also empty. In fact all the backups seem to not populate any bookmarks. I have another laptop and airdropped the backup file to that laptop to see if I could get the bookmarks back on firefox on there. It worth pointing out that firefox was not updated on my other laptop. When I tried to restore on the other laptop is erased the few bookmarks I had there but didnt give me the missing ones. So now I have 2 computers with no bookmarks.
Please help! Tried to restart , shut down, multiple times and nothing is working.

You can check this article.
This could be a problem with the places.sqlite (bookmarks and history) and favicons.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder.
- use the "Places Database" -> "Verify Integrity" button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page
If errors are reported with "Verify Integrity", close and restart Firefox or reboot and retry.
If you use the Time Machine or other backup then try to restore file(s) from this backup.
Thanks for the troubleshooting help. Unfortunately I haven't run time machine in a year. I will try to see if I use my firefox copy from a year ago. Verify Integrity doesn't show any errors. Every file in Entity is showing as 32kb. No variation.
I went into profile and removed the 115.1.0esr default profile. When the Firefox restarted I saw some old tabs come up. I was hopeful that the bookmarks had come back, unfortunately they are all still missing. When I try to restore them from a backup month old backup or html backup it doesn't populate anything. Quite frustrating.
You can look at this tool to inspect a compressed jsonlz4 bookmarks backup and possibly convert this file to HTML to be able to import/merge bookmarks.
Thanks cor-el. That's a helpful tool. I am able to open all my past bookmark jsonlz4 files. The weird part is they all appear to be wiped clean. There are slight variations in the file sizes, but looking through the lines, there are no bookmarks there. Going back months...it doesn't make sense. Up until yesterday I had hundreds of bookmarks.
