Just updated Firefox to 3.6.9 Adobe was updated also. Why does Adobe keep trying to update everytime a new Firefox window is started?

This action is very annoying. Whenever a new Firefox instance is started, a window pops up saying it is updating Adobe. Then another window comes up showing what is being updated. But it is blank.
