my homepage is yahoo.com and firefox now only loads a yahoo page from July 13, 2010. I have uninstalled firefox and re-installed with no improvement.
When I use Explorer to get on internet I get the current yahoo page. I have cleared my cookies and cache in firefox & still no improvement, just the same yahoo page with Brad Pitt from July 13, 2010. Please help.

How do you open that page?
If you use a bookmark then it is possible that there is GET data (?xxx=xxx) appended to the link that is causing it.
You can also test it it works in Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode. Firefox doesn't use the disk cache and the current cookies in PB mode, so if it works there then you have a problem with either of those.
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Profile Folder in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
