When I access Yahoo in IE 8, I have choice of 

Favorites or Bookmarks.

Accessing Yahoo in Firefox, only have choice of Bookmarks. Importing Favorites from IE 8 won't work. Only Bookmarks imp0rt If I can't import/ access IE 8Favorites, I will only use IE 8.Help

You can import IE favorites, for details see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Importing+favorites+and+other+data+from+Internet+Explorer

If you want the Favorites menu and the Bookmakrs menu in Firefox, you can use this add-on - PlainOldFavorites - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/plainoldfavorites/
