When closing Firefox version 3.6.10 with two or more tabs open I am asked 'Do you want Firefox to save your tabs for the next time it starts?' I then have the option to 'Save & Quit', 'Quit' or 'Cancel'. This does not seem to be available in Firefox 4.0.1. Is there any way I can get this option in Firefox 4.0.1? If not it looks like I shall have to continue with 3.6.10

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.

You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session.
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.

Another possibility is to use:

Thanks for that. Adjusting the settings as per your instructions seems to have solved my problem.

Unfortunately, every time I close the session then re-open Firefox again, one of the tabs has changed to the Mozilla start up page. So I made my gmail inbox my homepage, now I only have one tab open upon starting it.
