Firefox crashes periodically, even with all add-ons disabled. Does not happen in Safe Mode. Does not seem to correlate to particular sites or actions. All plugins that were recognized are up to date. OSX 10.6.8 is up to date.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

  • Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
