When I go to firefox... add ons and check to see my add ons need an update ... firefox says my java applet isn't up to date. I'm using a mac with latest OSX and Firefox 7... My mac software is up to date. What is the problem here?

I also am having problems viewing java with my browser. I just downloaded it.. I can't see what the problem would be. HELP

wow amazing tech support from Firefox. Its been what.. hmmm 24 hours? ????? still nothing not a word except another stupid update that doesn't fix the problem.
