I have updated to 9 twice. My mac applications indicates updated to 9. When I open Firefox, it tells me I am NOT on most recent version. I am an old guy who's not real computer savvy. Firefox works, but keeps telling me to up date.

Which page is there when Firefox opens?

This - http://www.google.com/firefox - is the old Firefox Start Page used by the Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions of Firefox. I don't think it is being maintained by Google and Google assumes that you are using an older version of Firefox.

Starting with the Firefox 4 version, Firefox is using a "local" Start Page with the address of about:home. It looks similar to the old Start Page, but it isn't exactly the same.
